Women in the Church
"The purpose of Women in the Church is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world."
Women in the Church (WIC) have two gatherings each month. The afternoon group meets on the second Tuesday at noon for the opportunity to get more acquainted and play games, followed by a 1:00 PM meeting. This meeting begins with a short devotional followed by prayer, refreshments, and dessert before the business meeting and Bible study. The evening group meets for supper, devotion, and fellowship. They meet in the fellowship hall on the second Monday evening at 6:00 PM for supper.
We encourage all female members of the church to attend WIC. We are thankful for the many active women on our WIC committees and the work they do for the church. We are privileged at Trinity to have several committees...
Baby Blanket Ministry make blankets that are given to the new mothers through the Mercer County Health Department. Ladies sew, pin, and press the blankets.
Bible Study Committee selects materials for women's study, arranges meeting hostesses and study leaders, and prepares the WIC program booklet.
Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry publicizes need and organizes food donations each 3rd Sunday of the month.
Flowers & Cradle Roll makes sure each baby in the extended church family receives a baby gift to welcome new life. In addition, flowers are delivered to those in the church family that suffer illness, hospital stays, and funerals.
HIS KIDS (Happiness Is Serving Kids in Distress Situations) prepare Christmas stockings for children with cancer.
Historian documents and keeps track of the activities of the church with photos and memorabilia in albums.
J.O.Y. Club organizes fun outreach events for WIC members and guests.
Kitchen Crew organizes the monthly kitchen teams who serve drinks and snacks for 2nd Sunday fellowship and plan drinks and serve for the 4th Sunday fellowship meals. The scheduled teams set-up, clean-up, and serve for these meals.
Kitchen Supply keeps the kitchen stocked with paper goods and necessary items needed for fellowship and meal times.
Meals on Wheels organizes volunteers to provide meals for those who have been hospitalized or are grieving. This also includes funerals, receptions, and new mothers.
Nomination Committee gathers nominations for membership on committees and officers to serve the WIC.
Nursery oversees the task of keeping toys cleaned and serviceable. This committee also ensures the nursery is supplied with wipes, snacks, and the like.
Prayer Bears matches church women to young girls in the church. Throughout the year, women are encouraged to pray for, mentor, encourage and develop a relationship with their younger Prayer Bear.
Prayer Partners matches church women to other ladies in the church. Throughout the year, the women encourage each other and life each other in prayer.
Special Events plan Prayer Bear events, high school graduation fellowship, receptions and other special activities.
Sunday Flowers provide beautiful flowers for the sanctuary on Sundays.
Trunk 'n Treat distributes candy and Biblical tracts at the pastor’s home on October 31st (Reformation Day).
Visitor & Follow-Up help welcome visitors and mail follow-up notes.
